Academic Integrity - Referencing, Citation & Avoiding Plagiarism: Chapter in an edited book

Reference:#. Author(s) Last name Initials. Title of chapter. In: Editor(s) Last name Initials, editors. Title of book. Place of publication: Publisher; year of publication. Page numbers.                         

Example:

7. Meltzer PS, Kallioniemi A, Trent JM. Chromosome alterations in human solid tumors. In: Vogelstein B, Kinzler KW, editors. The genetic basis of human cancer. New York: McGraw-Hill; 2002. p. 93-113.

In-Text-Citation:

Use a superscript number (like this: ¹) in the text at the place where you are indicating that you are citing from a source.

Example:

Chromosome changes can be seen over the course of growth of solid tumors.7
