COVID-19 UCD Library Remote Access Arrangements: Information

UCD Library UPDATE

** Phase 3 (July 6th) UPDATE **

**Restoration of phased access to the James Joyce Library under strict protocols and registration procedures.**

From July 6th - service will be available for all academic staff and postgraduates three days per week - Tues, Wed, Thurs from 10.00 - 16.00.

 

The following user categories have access to the James Joyce Library to browse and borrow resources:

 

  • Taught Postgraduates: 
    • Please complete the online UCD Return to Work Application form found in SISWeb (scroll down to Return to Work Approvals Process section for the link) (allow 3 days for confirmation) **Please bring a copy of your letter of approval to present for access**

 

PLEASE NOTE: Space for general reading/study is not available. Currently there is no access to other UCD Library locations.

 

There is no access for other user groups at this time.

Request items from other UCD libraries

UPDATE: A Request and Retrieval service for materials from other UCD libraries is now available. Please use this form to request items.  Please note that collection is from the James Joyce Library.

Book returns info

All borrowers:

Please continue to hold on to any library books you already have. All loans have been extended to 1st September 2020. NO fines will accrue during this period.

If you are on campus and wish to return your books, please do so using the Book Drop outside the James Joyce Library.

Departing from University Residences? 

Please return books to the Book Drop (outside the James Joyce Library) or leave with UCD Estates at the UCD Campus Services office, located at the end of the Agriculture Building (facing the James Joyce Library). See https://map.ucdestates.ie for location.
