Self-Service: Charging Lockers

The Library offers two types PIN Code Charging Lockers:

A. Phone / Tablet Charging Lockers: There is 3 x Industrial-grade Braided Charging Cables in (Micro-USB / Lightning / USB Type-C) in each bay.

B. Personal Storage Charging Lockers: There is 3-PIN socket and twin USB sockets in each bay.

Users are responsible for their devices in the charging lockers. UCD Library is not responsible for personal theft and / or personal liability and is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Instructions for Phone / Tablet Charging Lockers:

Getting Started:

1. TO START press Blue “Charge & Sanitize” button.
2. Choose a locker number & press #.
3. Enter 4-digit PIN code and press # to confirm.
4. Re-Enter 4-digit PIN code again and press # to confirm.
5. Door will open, Plug in your Mobile Phone and close door.

To Retrieve:

1. Press Red “Retrieve” button to retrieve.
2. Please select your locker number.
3. Enter your 4-digit PIN code and press #.
4. Door opens, Unplug in your Mobile Phone.
5. Close the locker door.

• Fast Charging in each bay (charging Output: 5V/2.4A Max).

• The two bottom lockers facilitate tablet charging.

Instructions for Personal Storage Charging Lockers:

Getting Started:

1. Turn the KitLock handle down at a free locker (free lockers have no blinking lights on the locking mechanism).
2. Place your Laptop into a locker and plugin your device (using your own cable).
3. Close the door and then turn the KitLock back Up to secure bay.
4. Enter a personal 4-digit PIN code on the closed bay.
5. You must ensure the locker door is locked before you leave, when locked will show a blinking red light.

To Retrieve:

1. Select your locker.
2. Enter your 4-digit PIN code.
3. The blue light indicates door is ready for you to open.
4. Turn the KitLock handle down and remove your device.
5. Close the locker door.

• One Plug socket and twin USB sockets per bay.
• Fast Charging in each bay (charging Output: 5V/2.4A Max).
• KitLock PIN Code Locking System operates with a single User Code. The user enters a personal four digit code, this locks the lock. The same code is entered once only to open the lock before automatically being erased and ready for the next user.
