Introduction

UCD Library provides a range of services to support research funding applications and increase their competitiveness.

Funding organisations generally have requirements around the provision of research publications in an open access environment, and, increasingly, similar requirements for research data. With this comes a need to have publications and other research outputs hosted and preserved into the future.

Funders may also want evidence of your research track record and a dissemination plan to maximise your research impact.

The library has significant  expertise and services to support such activities in all phases of the funding lifecycle: pre-award, post-award, and post-project, or Before, During and After; these are described in this guide.

Generic forms of wording for inclusion in a grant application are also suggested, where appropriate.
