Citizen Science: Find Citizen Science Projects

Aille Engaged is a Citizen Science project that aims to increase local awareness of the dynamics of rainfall and river flow in the catchment area of the Aille River in North Clare.

This is an island-wide attempt to reverse declines in pollinating insects and is managed by the National Biodiversity Data Centre. The online mapping system provided allows everyone - gardeners, farmers, Councils, businesses, local communities , and schools to register the actions they have taken for pollinators and put their pollinator-friendly locations on the map.

BirdWatch Ireland runs many surveys which increase our knowledge of birds, their populations and their changing needs. BirdWatch Ireland have a range of bird surveys, suitable for all ages, from complete beginners to the most experienced birdwatchers.

This initiative is part of the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPro)
