About this month's Spotlight

During February we are celebrating LGBTI+ History Month! We are partnering with UCD Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to bring attention to the many resources we hold here in the UCD Library collections. This includes print books, electronic books (ebooks), databases and more. 

At the display is also featured selected historical material from UCD Special Collections.

Join us as Assistant Professor Páraic Kerrigan of the UCD School of Information and Communication Studies reads excerpts from his book Reeling In the Queers: Tales of Ireland's LGBTQ Past.

Archives of sexuality & gender (Gale)

The largest collection of resources available to support the study of gender and sexuality, this rich archive helps scholars and others make new connections in LGBTQ history and activism, cultural studies, psychology, health, political science, policy studies, and other related areas of research. The archive also encompasses extensive material related to feminism, women's rights, and women's concerns. It includes fully searchable periodicals, newsletters, manuscripts, government records, organizational papers, correspondence, an international selection of posters, and other primary source materials from more than 35 countries. UCD has purchased 3 parts of the growing archive so far - LGBTQ History and Culture Since 1940, Parts 1 & 2, and Part 3 Sex and Sexuality, Sixteenth to Twentieth Century.
