The following novels have been selected for this year's Shortlist. The winner will be announced by the Dublin Lord Mayor at a ceremony on Thursday, 25th May!
The Shortlist
The Award
The Dublin Literary Award is presented annually for a novel written in English or translated into English. The Award promotes excellence in world literature and is solely sponsored by Dublin City Council, and administered by Dublin City Libraries. Nominations are submitted by libraries in major cities throughout the world. The award is entering its 28th year. The Lord Mayor of Dublin is Patron of the Award.
We are fortunate to be able to help promote this truly global award to the UCD community and beyond. Each year the Award sponsors have generously donated novels on the Longlist to our collection, expanding our range of fiction and helping to diversify our collection.
Be sure and visit the Spotlight display on Level 1 of the James Joyce Library; browse the books featured and feel free to borrow one for leisure reading today!
