New Resource - GeoDirectory

by Catherine Ryan on 2021-04-08T12:46:00+01:00 in Geography, Geology, New Resource | 0 Comments

The GeoDirectory dataset combines accurate postal and geographic addresses for Ireland in one database and can be used in GIS software. The database contains every residential and commercial building in Ireland with details for each address - location codes (3 types), EDs, Small Areas and Unique Building Identifier. The GeoDirectory files are in CSV format, and a revised version of the dataset is issued four times a year. UCD staff, academics and researchers can find out more about GeoDirectory, including its terms and conditions of use, and submit an application form for the current dataset via this Library Guide. The current dataset may not be shared with undergraduate students, so for academics who wish to use GeoDirectory data as a teaching tool, a separate older dataset is available upon request via the same application form.
