APA Style Guide: Blogs

This guide explains how to use the APA Style. It includes a short tutorial.

Blog

Reference: Author Last name, Initials. (Year, Month Day). Title of post. Title of Blog. URL

Example: Farnan, C. (2017, February 22). Mindfulness in the workplace. Irish Mindfulness Academic Blog. https://www.irishmindfulnessacademy.ie/single-post/2017/02/22/mindfulness-in-the-workplace

In-Text-Citation:

  • Author(s) Last name (year)
  • (Author(s) Last name, year)                                   

Example:

  • Farnan (2017) talks about focusing attention to the here and now in work.
  • In another post (Farnan, 2017) highlighted the importance of staying in the here and now….

Note: titles for items in online communities (e.g. blogs, newsgroups, forums) are not italicized. If the author’s name is not available, provide the screen name in the text or reference list.
