This guide explains how to use the APA Style. It includes a short tutorial.
No author or anonymous sources
Reference (author unknown): Title. (Date). Publisher. URL
Example: A tail of a lost puppy. (2020). Oaktree Press.
Example (Anonymous source): Anonymous. (2020). Animals: What they give us. Oaktree Press.
Note: reference the item with the title in the place of the author, then format the rest as that source type is usually formatted.
In-Text-Citation
- Book with unknown author: (Title of Book, Year)
- Magazine or journal article: (“Title of Article,” Year)
- Anonymous: (Anonymous, Year)
Example:
- In this work we see the importance of the human-animal bond (A Tail of a Lost Puppy, 2020) ...
- The benefit of pet ownership is discussed in this piece (“Not just for Christmas,” 2020).
- This poem aptly portrays how humans and domestic animals co-exist (Anonymous, 2020).
